Le bikini Hammies s'inspire d'un modèle original des années 1960. Il combine des éléments de quelques-unes de nos trouvailles vintage préférées. Le body et le rick rack sont fabriqués avec 15 % d'élasticité pour s'adapter à toutes les morphologies. La bordure blanche contrastante s'harmonise avec les détails de notre ensemble Cabana et complète parfaitement ce look milieu de siècle.
Contrairement à notre bikini original , le bikini vichy est disponible séparément (haut et bas) et est réversible ! Il peut être porté avec un imprimé vichy ou uni, ou encore assorti. La coupe et l'ajustement du bikini vichy sont identiques à ceux du bikini original.

L'inspiration
L'histoire
L'histoire du maillot de bain est une fascinante histoire de la pudeur vestimentaire américaine et européenne, qui a débuté au début du XXe siècle. Avant les années 1940, la plupart des femmes nageaient en tenue complète, comprenant robes, bas, bottes et ceinture de lestage pour les empêcher de flotter. Le maillot de bain masculin était beaucoup moins oppressant en comparaison (essentiellement une combinaison en laine jusqu'à ce que le torse nu devienne acceptable dans les années 1930). Le bikini a fait son entrée dans la mode dans les années 1930, mais n'a été adopté par le public que dans les années 1960. Pendant les 40 années suivantes, le maillot de bain, et le bikini en particulier, a repoussé les limites de la mode et de la pudeur américaines plus que tout autre article vestimentaire. I am so in love with this suit. It’s so flattering and the fabric quality is fantastic. Way better quality than anything I’ve bought before. It’s soft, hugs your hips in the best way, and doesn’t dig into your skin. I have zero discomfort in it. I’m 5”3’, 140lbs, 34E bra size. I bought the large top and medium bottoms.
This swimsuit is totally worth the price!! The quality is super amazing, and the fit is perfect! Super cute suit and will definitely last for a few summers.
As soon as I saw this suit I had to have it. I agonized over sizing because I have a fairly curvy figure and while I usually wear a small or medium (4/6 in pants) I find myself ordering large or even extra large in bathing suit bottoms to fit my hips and bum. I decided to go with a medium for the top and the bottom. The top fits great. The bottom fits well, except for the leg opening being a little bit tight. While minor, I hate the visible squeeze at the leg opening, but I know that a large will be way too large. These also have a lot of stretch! The reversible-ness means that the darts are pretty visible and almost cause a bagging effect on the top, but the stripes hide it well enough. For reference I am:

As a short gal with a short torso, I was worried about the only 3 size options, but despite a bit of extra fabric gathering a bit above my waist, it actually fits quite well and is super cute. I love the fabric and cut and style of this bikini.
Like other folks have said, the material feels very high quality. The shape of the top is super cute and comfy, and I expect it will hold up during activity (vs simply lounging—both of which I do in my swimwear). I would say sizing of both pieces runs just a tad big—if you’re in between sizes, or if like me, you fit into two size categories, may be best to size down. I went with M over S because my measurements are more aligned with the M suit. Mine fits well dry, but I do wonder how much it will stretch when wet.
Two tone blue reverses to solid lighter blue, which was a nice surprise to me bc I didn’t see that advertised! Also, two tone blue doesn’t have the buttons on the back of the top. Fine by me bc I do a lot of snorkeling and prefer to avoid shiny details on my swimsuits, but may be good to know in case that’s a feature you look forward to.
My order was marked “delivered” but didn’t actually make it to me, and Hammie’s made it right with a replacement. So pleased with my purchase that I plan to keep an eye for additional swim styles/colors from this brand.

This bikini top is so retro! It is very stretchy. The size chart put me in an LX and that was too big, the girls were coming out of the bottom. I exchanged for a large and it’s perfect. I wear a 36G or 38DDD bra.
I absolutely love it! I tried it on and it’s nice and snug it’s so cute just what I have been looking for since not a lot of people make 50’s style swimsuits anymore this is a good quality swimsuit will definitely order more in different colors!
